Worcester Art Museum Studio Program Manager in Worcester, Massachusetts
Job Overview: To manage, plan, and promote studio class programs and oversee the educational standards, resources, systems, and spaces of the Museum\'s Higgins Education Wing, helping engage and expand the Museum\'s audiences in support of its mission, vision, and values. Qualifications: \ Substantial working knowledge of best practices in art education, trends, and age-specific developmental benchmarks for youth art education and the Massachusetts Arts Curriculum Framework. \ Some knowledge of art history or the Museum\'s collection is helpful. \ Strong employee development and management experience with a dynamic and diverse workforce. \ Understanding of administrative principles and methods, including goal setting; program development, implementation, and evaluation; meeting tight deadlines; and handling multiple projects simultaneously. \ Proficient in budget management and data analysis. \ Knowledge of and experience with instructional technology, including Apple computers; knowledge of Microsoft 365 and ability to learn registration and scheduling software. \ Collaborative work style, with a strong team player approach and consensus-building skills. \ Exceptional listening, oral, and written communication skills. \ Strength in organization, systematic thinking, and interpersonal problem-solving. \ A sense of creativity, and collegiality. \ A commitment to emotional, social, and cognitive development, with a progressive approach to teaching and learning and an interest in professional growth. \ Periodic availability on programming weekends and evenings. \ Embraces and promotes diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion initiatives Education and Experience: \ M.A. in art, art education, or a related field required, or the equivalent in an art teaching background. \ Familiarity with curriculum development, writing, and evaluation required. \ Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, Vietnamese, or ASL a plus.
