Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center, Inc. Pharmacy Intern in Worcester, Massachusetts
Pharmacy interns are those who, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department not requiring the professional judgment of the pharmacist. Interns must function in strict accordance with standard, written procedures and guidelines with deviation approved by the supervising pharmacist. This temporary assignment will strictly be office work.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with policy updates, compliance audits, Board of Phamacy compliance
Work closely with the Director of the Pharmacy preparing presentations
Assist in the preparation for the HRSA on site visit
Assist with preparing for a Joint Commission visit
Working to update the medication management standards
Assist the pharmacist in the retrieval of accurate, concise, applicable and timely drug information
Effectively supports management
Completes work activities through effective management of time, tasks, and available resources
Manages own conduct, performance and attitude including time, space and paper; ethics; attendance and punctuality; and customer focus
Additional Job Duties:
Participates in implementing goals and objectives, and policy and procedures of the department and facility.
Performs other duties as assigned or scheduled.
Pharmacy intern licensure required in accordance with Massachusetts regulations. Previous experience desired; will train if applicant is conscientious and communicates a desire to learn
Effective oral and written communication skills.
An aptitude for working with other health care professionals
