Community Healthlink Medical Records Supervisor in Worcester, Massachusetts

Come join a friendly and diverse team that provides quality care! Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Medical Records Supervisor at our Worcester site.

The Medical Records Department serves as the central repository for all patient individually identifiable information and protected health information, and is responsible for the preservation, accessing, and releasing of records in accordance with federal and state laws.

  • Supervision of staff and coordination of the Medical Records activities

  • Tasks relevant to managing and maintaining patient medical records, both in electronic and archived paper formats.

  • Ability to respond to requests for records, as well as audits by payers, regulatory bodies, etc.

  • Ability to maintain compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR part 2, FERPA, and various other privacy and regulatory laws about client and patient records.

  • Manage the archiving and warehousing of records in a paper format.

  • Policy and Procedures implementation

  • Performs other job related duties

  • MUST have 2 years of Medical Records experience.

  • Supervisory experience and experience with electronic health records of at least 1 year.

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma/ GED or HiSet Required.

  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Health Information Management or a relevant field is preferred.

  • Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) by the American Health Information Management Association is highly desirable

  • Current valid US-issued driver's license and ability to provide a registered, inspected and insured automobile for work related purposes including travel between work sites

  • Must be able to pass a CORI background check
