Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Medical Assistant or CNA in Worcester.
Adult Outpatient Services at Community Healthlink provides integrated primary and behavioral health care services in our outpatient clinics for our consumers with severe and persistent mental illness and/or a chronic substance use condition. The integrated model includes nurse care managers who coordinate care with the behavioral and primary care providers, perform wellness assessments, develop wellness treatment plans and develop and facilitate wellness activities. Clinic staff include primary care clinicians, licensed psychologists, licensed independent clinical social workers, licensed mental health counselors, drug and alcohol counselors, psychiatrists, advanced practice psychiatric nurses, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative support staff. The clinic offers open access to services daily for our consumers and our priority population. The clinic offers substance addiction treatment including medication assisted treatment using evidence-supported models.
The Medical Assistant / CNA in behavior health services provides information, services, and assistance to patients in the outpatient clinic.

The medical assistant in behavior health services provides information, services, and assistance to patients in the outpatient clinic.
Provide patient care by assisting with the implementation of care plans.
Interview patients to obtain information and measure their vital signs, weight, height etc.
Prepare treatment rooms keeping them clean and properly stocked.
Prepare a chart for visit Complete releases of information as needed.
Reconcile medications Automate and perform processes by phone or send letters to patients either overdue for medical care or out of compliance with goals of their care.
Inform the care team if a patient is out of compliance consistently.
Meet regularly with multidisciplinary care team to help create plans for specific patients and populations not achieving optimal care.
Work with other care teams on quality improvement measures and process designs.
Assist with prior authorizations.
Help organize and keep track of Clozaril clients and groups Case management/care coordination.
Performs basic office laboratory procedures such as urinalysis, throat cultures and related procedures.
Perform a variety of clerical duties such as typing,filing scheduling appointments, making phone calls and other related job duties as required are directed.
Maintains records, reports, report logs and other statistical information is required or directed Performs other duties.
Complies with establish division and program policies, procedures and objectives. Attends a variety of meetings, conferences, and trainings as required directed.
Demonstrates use of quality improvement in daily operations.
Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements.
Maintains regular and reliable and predictable attendance and maintains confidentiality.
Respects diverse views and approaches and contributes to maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility, and acceptance towards all employees, patients and visitors.
OBAT Medical Assistant:
Complete required data entry for BSAS, track enrollment, follow up, level, and disenrollment
status of patients, and do toxicology screens.
Open Access Medical Assistant:
Perform triage of the behavioral health and/or medical needs of adults.
Perform administrative triage including insurance eligibility and appropriate provider availability.
Work collaboratively as a member of the clinic’s multi-disciplinary open access teams to
coordinate the delivery of appropriate clinical and medical services.
- Regularly attend clinic staff meetings, clinical team, supervision and all other required program
- Prepare and maintain confidential client documentation, service records, and preparation of
statistical reports. Request authorizations for continued treatment sessions.
Maintain data on open access activities
Maintain open access caseload.
Grade 5: Medical Assistant I –Certified medical assistant or Registered medical assistant.
Grade 6: Medical Assistant II – Associates degree in Medical Assisting required
Grade 6: Certified Nursing Assistant: Must possess state certification as a CNA within in the state of Massachusetts
Proficient in data management and reporting
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Access and Excel
Must be able to pass a CORI background check
