MCPHS University Faculty - Pediatric Optometry / Vision Therapy in Worcester, Massachusetts
This Faculty position encompasses clinical lab and didactic teaching in the area of Binocular Vision, Vision Therapy, and Acquired Brain Injury/Traumatic Brain Injury. The position reports to the Dean or designee.
Teaches in the vision therapy, binocular vision and ABI/TBI curriculum as assigned by the Associate Dean for Academic Programs
Prepares educational materials for the assigned laboratories and classroom presentations
Serves as a clinical preceptor in primary care, vision therapy, binocular vision and special populations including ABI/TBI.
Contributes to scholarship and research to enhance the educational process and/or improving patient care outcomes
Participates in departmental and community service activities
Works collaboratively with faculty colleagues to enhance student learning and the delivery of quality patient care
Is responsive to student needs and demonstrate the ability and interest to serve as a mentor
Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor(s).
Rank is commensurate with education and experience.
OD from an accredited institution
Residency certificate in Binocular Vision, Vision Therapy, Pediatric Optometry
Eligible for optometric licensure in Massachusetts
Demonstrated knowledge and skills to successfully undertake the faculty assignments and responsibilities as listed
