Seven Hills Foundation Clinic Intake and Billing Specialist in Worcester, Massachusetts
Responsible for intake and billing for services performed at the Ellsworth Child and Family Counseling Center, working with clients, clinicians, and other personnel, and communicating with insurance companies.
Performs all aspects of intake and billing processes, including client intake calls and insurance billing.
Verifies eligibility and benefits with insurance companies.
Investigates outstanding receivables.
Requests and verifies prior authorization for services.
Works with clinicians on submission of encounter forms and facilitates solutions with the payroll department for proper clinician reimbursement.
Communicates with insurance companies to resolve billing issues.
Enters data into electronic billing system and electronic medical records.
Provides recommendations for manual and automated process improvements.
Utilizes computer and systems skills to improve, automate, and support the business process.
- Performs other duties and special projects as required by agency/program needs and informs Practice Coordinator and/or Clinical Director of issues/concerns related to program, objectives and agency mission and policy.
Bachelor's degree with related billing experience preferred.
Experience in mental health service business preferred.

Experience with medical billing software, and electronic billing procedures preferred.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours
