Ethos Veterinary Health Veterinary Technician - Internal Medicine in Woburn, Massachusetts

Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital is looking to add a full-time Veterinary Technician - Internal Medicine to its team in Woburn, Massachusetts.

As a Vet Tech in the Internal Medicine department you will be responsible for:

  • Performing anesthetic monitoring including intubation/extubation of patients, monitoring vitals, and troubleshooting of machines

  • Obtaining and preparing various blood samples for diagnostic testing

  • Accurately take and process multiple types of radiographs

  • Participating in endoscopic procedures, including obtaining biopsy specimens and maintaining equipment

  • Assisting during ultrasound and fluoroscopy procedures

  • Providing comfort, diagnostic, surgical, and nursing care to all patients

  • Providing extensive client education on common internal medicine diseases (i.e. immune mediated diseases, kidney disease and failure, diabetes, and cushings).

This is a full time technician role to work 3 days per week (12 hour shifts) including one weekend day. Anesthesia experience required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting as a Technician required.

  • Anesthesia experience required

  • Highly empathetic and great hospitality abilities to deal with stressful and sometimes sad cases with owners.
