Wellforce Insurance Coordinator in Woburn, Massachusetts

Responsible for collecting and documenting required patient demographic and financial information for scheduled visits and completing pre-service collection of patient liability (including, but not limited to deductibles, co-insurances, co-payments, etc.) and/or bad debt. This position is also responsible for verifying patient insurance, confirming benefits eligibility, performing pre-authorization, pre-certification, and/or notification as required by third party providers. Posts collected payments in system of record and verifies appropriate dollar amount and volume are posted in compliance with department guidelines. Produces verification of posted payments to manager/supervisor upon request.

High School graduate or equivalent with Associate’s Degree or equivalent education required. One to three years hospital/health care experience in the areas of patient registration or financial counseling required. Knowledge of hospital and medical terminology experience required. Familiarity with third party plans and medical billing preferred. Experience with hospital information systems. Excellent Customer Service skills.
