About the Job
The Licensed Practical Nurse performs professional nursing care, functions as a member of the healthcare team and provides input into the assessment, planning, and evaluation of nursing services. Under the direction and supervision of the RN Case Manager, the LPN is accountable for the quality of nursing care he or she provides and assumes responsibility for the provision of nursing care in accordance with the established plan of care for assigned patients.
Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program accredited by the National League of Nursing (NLNAC), with current licensure to practice as an LPN in the state of Massachusetts. Working toward RN licensure strongly preferred. Two years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse in an acute care, rehab or home care setting.Maintains an American Heart Association (AHA)CPR certification.
Demonstrates excellent observation and problem solving/critical thinking skills. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills; essential computer skills to work with EMR. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order. Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision . Shows strong ability to organize and prioritize workload independently; nursing skills per competency checklist.
Full-time, 40 hour, day shift position
