RN - Regional Director of Clinical Operations for Massachusetts
Next Step Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse, BSN preferred, to join our team as Director of Clinical Operations. This is a Regional Nursing position covering facilities throughout Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years of experience in Nurse Consulting and Long Term Care. Prior experience as a Director of Nursing is required.
Our Director of Clinical Operations is responsible for providing support to the Directors of Nursing and nursing teams located in a specified region within the state. This highly rewarding position is accountable for providing nursing knowledge, advice and counsel to our facility leadership. Successful applicants will be passionate about caring for the elderly and able to work in, and create, a positive working experience as part of a team.
Responsibilities of the Director of Clinical Operations includes but is not limited to:
Conducts assigned clinical system audits at designated facilities to promote regulatory compliance.
Partners with the Director of Training and Development with clinical leadership training.
Develops, reviews and implements the monitoring of plans of correction and post survey preparedness.
Assists facilities as assigned during state surveys. Researches policies, regulation interpretation, etc.
Maintains professional competencies of laws and regulations, keeping abreast of current changes that may affect health care systems.
Reviews reported issues, concerns, or questions relative to clinical matters. Provides consultative leadership and support to all facilities as appropriate. Includes close coordination with the VP of Clinical Operations and interaction with all levels of the leadership team.
Adheres to department procedures and completes special tasks to ensure projects are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information to assure resident rights are protected.

Qualifications:
Current RN license, BSN preferred, in the State of Massachusetts
At least 3 - 5 years experience in Long Term Care and Nursing Consulting
Previous DON experience, required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task and oversee functions at multiple facilities on a daily basis
Ability to travel throughout region
