Woburn Pediatric Associates, LLP Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in Woburn, Massachusetts

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Woburn Pediatric Associates LLP (WPA), a physician-owned practice for 50+ years, is looking for a full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide quality support to our patients by assisting an assigned provider with the daily tasks associated with outpatient office visits. This includes pre-visit preparation, direct interaction with the patient throughout the office visit, and post-appointment follow-up tasks as needed. The proactive & collaborative healthcare professional in this 35 - 40 hrs/week role will: Prepare patient charts prior to office visit, per Provider preference. Confirm completion of pre-visit planning, reviewing notes to understand purpose of visit, chart for outstanding labs, vaccines, etc? Prepare exam rooms prior to patient appointments. Welcome patients, greeting them by name, and accompany them to exam rooms. Accurately record patient information including vital signs, weight, changes in medical history, purpose of visit or treatment and note changes in medical history, if applicable, prior to the provider exam. Prepare and draw up vaccinations and administer vaccinations per provider preference Record data collected during the visit, treatment and test results. Handle follow-up tasks such as scheduling specialist appointments, follow-up on xrays, phone calls, as needed. Protect operations and maintain practice credibility by keeping patient care information confidential. Skills & Qualifications CMA Certification (current) High school diploma or equivalent is required. 2+ yrs experience working with healthcare practice or hospital. General familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) system required; prior experience with epic is a plus. Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills. Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
