About the Job
Required: Graduate of an accredited or US Armed Forces Surgical Technologists school and/or program or employed as a Surgical Technologist at a surgical facility on or before July 1, 2013.
Preferred: At least one year operating room scrub experience
Basic computer skills
For safety and quality reasons, must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and fellow members of the hospital team LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS: Required: Must obtain Surgical Technician Certification within 1 year of hire. Preferred: Current Surgical Technician Certification upon hire Note: Surgical Technologists that were employed as Surgical Technologists in a surgical facility prior to July 1, 2013 are exempted from the certification requirement, as allowed by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting. LIFE SUPPORT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Basic Life Support
