About the Job

Contributes to the Hospital’s mission by overseeing the hospital’s supply of medications and pharmaceutical supplies, ensuring adequate supplies are maintained to meet the departments’, physicians’ and patients’ needs. This administrative position will have an impact on patient care and physician satisfaction. It will also impact the hospital’s financial stability by auditing invoices and receivables ensuring accurate payables and minimizing costs.



Required: High school diploma or GED

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree



At least four (4) years Pharmacy Technician experience with two (2) of those years as a Registered or Certified Pharmacy Technician, or at least two (2) years experience as a buyer of hospital pharmaceutical supplies.

Preferred: Experience working in a hospital pharmacy

Other Skills/Knowledge:


  • The ability to communicate issues clearly and concisely, expressing needs and priorities in a professional manner.

  • Strong analytical skills to be able to reason through situations to determine the best course of action given the circumstances.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • For safety and quality reasons, must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and fellow members of the hospital team.


  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel

  • Accounting/reconciliation skills

  • Experience with Meditech
