Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Manager to join our premier Community Cancer Center that cares for and treats hematology and oncology patients. Our accredited practice includes a talented team that consists of four hematologist/medical oncologists, a gynecological oncology surgeon, three nurse practitioners and dedicated clinical support nurses. Our program includes low dose lung screening, nurse navigation for onboarding of new patients, social work, nutrition support, and integrative therapies such as massage, reiki and acupuncture. Additional on-site partnerships include a Shields Radiation Oncology Suite and A Caring Place, a boutique that supports our patients’ wig and prosthetic needs.
Reporting to our Director of Oncology Service Line, you will manage the center’s day-to-day clinical activities and collaborate with the clinical staff of nurses and medical assistants ensuring that your team provides superior care to our patients and their loved ones. You will also contribute to the Center’s strategic vision, plan, and execution. In addition, you will partner with the center’s operations manager who is responsible for all nonclinical staff and clinic operations.
In addition to a desire to mentor and coach, ideal candidates will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and must obtain Master’s degree within 5 years of hire. Either the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree must be in Nursing. Preferred: Master’s Degree on hire.
Current Massachusetts RN licensure
At least five years of work experience as a nurse with at least 3 years of outpatient nursing experience focused on Hematology/Oncology population. Preferred: At least one year of experience in supervisory and budget management
Oncology Nursing Certification required within 2 years of hire. Preferred: Oncology Nursing Certification on hire.
