Assists Supervisor in maintaining a high quality standard by keeping him/her informed on the condition of all assigned areas. Assists in training, supervising, and motivating Environmental Services staff.

Job Description:

QUALIFICATIONS:

*Must have high school diploma or equivalent

*At least one year of experience in Environmental Services, preferably in healthcare

*Excellent communication and customer service skills

*Basic computer knowledge in Microsoft Word

*Must be able to read, write and communicate in English

JOB FUNCTIONS:

*Commits to making every encounter with our patients, patients' family members, coworkers, nurses, and physicians the best that it can be

*Complies with all Winchester Hospital policies

*Assures that all hospital and department policies are followed by staff

*Assumes responsibility for work areas in the absences of the Supervisor

*Maintains all records, reports, and other documentation

*Assures that staff has adequate supplies to perform duties

*Schedules project work and assigns to staff

*Participates in staff meetings, performance initiatives, and orientation of new staff
