O phthalmic Consultants of Boston (OCB) was established in 1969 to offer patients the highest quality eye care and laser/surgical treatment. OCB recently joined forces with Eye Health Services to become the premier eye care provider in the region with nineteen practice locations in the greater Boston area and Cape Cod. In addition, OCB has five affiliated surgery and laser centers. OCB and its affiliates employ 700+ employees. We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Clinical Manager in our Weymouth and South Shore locations.
Summary of Duties:
Oversee the Weymouth, Dorchester, Quincy, Pembroke, Easton, East Bridgewater clinical services to include all clinical staff members and the clinical facilities. Responsible for the hiring, scheduling, supervision, development, and training of the clinical staff. Determine the clinical training that is required and coordinate such training to educate and motivate the staff to enhance their ability to provide patient care. Ensure effective utilization of FTE’s, clinic space and clinical equipment. Identify and coordinate purchasing and maintenance of all clinical equipment and supplies. Performs annual reviews.
Performance Requirements :
Skilled in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision making to achieve organizational objectives. Knowledge of ophthalmic clinical practices, materials, and procedures. Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing to diverse populations. Ability to develop and manage a budget. Ability to build and establish positive relationships throughout all levels of the organization. Ability to identify, develop, administer, and oversee programs that will support compliance and quality standards at OCB.
Education and Experience:
COA, COT, COMT, RN preferred.
Five to seven years of diverse clinical ophthalmic experience required.
Two to four years in a leadership position within a clinical practice required.
