Job Title: Welder

Job Description

The welder will work alongside fitters (fabricators) to make precision welds on military parts. The candidate must adhere to Military 22D standards, which are stringent, but training will be provided if they have basic welding skills. The position involves making welds without fitting and primarily focuses on production welding of repeat jobs.

Responsibilities

• Make precision welds on military parts.

• Adhere to Military 22D standards.

• Start with MIG or TIG welding and potentially cross-train as needed.

• Work off customer drawings.

• Perform mostly production welding with repeat jobs.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 1-2 years of prior welding experience, including trade school experience if they can pass a weld test.

• Experience with MIG and/or TIG welding.

• Ability to understand weld symbols and customer drawings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with robotic welding and sub arc welding.

• Willingness to learn and operate robotic welding stations.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a pay rate of $24-26 per hour. The schedule is from 6am to 2:30/3pm, with half-day Saturdays encouraged and other overtime opportunities available. Most employees work a 50-hour week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westminster, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
