Bear Mountain Health Care LPN in West Springfield, Massachusetts

RN/LPN

Bear Mountain at West Springfield, a skilled nursing facility located in West Springfield, MA, is currently seeking nurses for all shifts. Part time/Full time & Per-Diem available with exceptional benefits to accompany those eligible positions.

Nurses care for people who are sick, injured, convalescent, cognitively impaired, or disabled. Under general supervision, they deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation, in accordance with established philosophy.

Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Nurses effectively interact with patient and significant others, while maintaining the standard of professional nursing. The nature of the direction and supervision required for this position varies job setting. Nurses care for the physical and psychosocial needs of older adults.

They focus on maximizing patients’ functional abilities, as well as promoting, maintaining, and restoring their physical and mental health.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of the RN or LPN job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and smell. All employees of nursing homes may be required to provide lifting and transfer assistance to patients/residents safely without harming or injuring the resident/patient, yourself, co-workers or others.

This job requires significant physical activities including standing, lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and twisting. Employees of nursing homes may be required to provide lifting and transfer assistance to residents safely without harming or injuring the resident/patient, yourself, co-workers or others. Lifting and/or transferring some residents will require use of a lifting device and /or assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

General Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Federal, State, and required credentials current and on file

  • Li-censure as RN in states included in service area.

  • 1 years of current experience a long term care preferred however new graduate nurses are welcome to apply!

  • CPR certification required

  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and must be able to assume a flexible work schedule.
