Recently named by The Boston Globe as one of The Top Places to Work in Massachusetts, our community based, mission-driven hospice and palliative care organization seeks a Residence LPN to join its expanding hospice team.Our ideal candidate is able to fill in 12-hour night shifts from 7 pm to 7 am on Wednesdays and Thursdays (24 hours position and eligible for benefits).
Our Hospice Residence is located in Wayland and was reopened in Fall 2022. This is an exciting opportunity for LPNs interested in providing end-of-life care at a new 10-bed hospice facility.
Job Responsibilities:
This position provides direct patient care including on-going assessment, pain management. and symptom control in line with the plan of care established for the patient. The Shift Nurse notifies the Nursing Care Coordinator of any significant change in patient’s condition or any changes necessitating physician notification and documents all care provided including clinical observations and interventions.
Education, Skills and Experience:
Current Massachusetts LPN License in good standing.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in community health, oncology nursing, or a related field is preferred.
Comfort working independently in a one on one setting with patients.
