Licensed Practical Nurse Supervisor - CCS

Seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse Supervisor for the Riverside Community Care Behavioral Health Services Division in Upton, MA

The Community Crisis Stabilization program in Upton serves up to 6 people at any given time.

The LPN Supervisor is a management position within the broader CBHC/MCI/Respite programs, available to provide supervision and oversight across Respite and AMCI service components as needed, with primary responsibility within the Adult Community Crisis Stabilization (Adult CCS). Additionally, this position oversees the provision of the Respite Medication Administration Protocol (MAP) for the Upton Respite program, supervises the CCS LPNs, manages LPN scheduling to ensure programmatic coverage (providing coverage as needed), and provides direct service delivery to persons served as needed.

  • The LPN Supervisor will assist with physician orders; administers medication; takes vital signs; coordinates medical care; contributes to comprehensive assessment, inclusive of assessment of signs of substance withdrawal and completion of standardized assessment tools such as the Clinical Opioid Withdrawal Scale (COWS), Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment for Alcohol (CIWA), and Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment for Benzodiazepines (CIWA B)

  • Conducts brief crisis counseling and individualized risk management/safety planning; provides psycho-education; and assists with discharge planning and care coordination. In addition, the LPN Supervisor oversees/manages the provision of health services to the people served by the program.

  • Manages team of LPN and nursing staff at the CCS/Respite program, providing clinical and administrative supervision. Takes the lead on medical and nursing issues within the program. Coordinates care with hospitals, ACCS, program managers, and other key stakeholders. Provides administrative support to the program for nursing and medically related tasks.

  • The LPN Supervisor is also responsible for scheduling RNs and LPNs at the CCS/Respite program and may provide coverage for LPNs and RNs as needed.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am to 4pm

Salary: $85,000 annually

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills required.

  • Valid Driver’s License and regular access to a reliable vehicle required.

Required Experience

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

  • Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required. Must be in good standing with the Board of Registration of Nursing.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ nursing experience.

  • Minimum of 1 year in mental health setting required.

  • Experience with addictions and Medication Assisted Treatment strongly preferred.

  • At least one year of supervisory/managerial experience preferred.
