State of Massachusetts Occupational Therapy Supervisor and Fieldwork Coordinator in Tewksbury, Massachusetts

Summary of Duties:

Provides Rehabilitation Services to adult psychiatric individuals of the Northeast Area. Promotes and supports a recovery and resiliency model of Rehabilitation by implementing SAMHSA’s 10 fundamental components of recovery while providing services. Uses a person centered approach when providing Rehab services and assists and supports the development and implementation of a person centered treatment plan. Promotes teamwork while demonstrating flexibility, the ability to listen to the views of others, to compromise, to handle conflict and stay focused on a positive outcome. Provides services and opportunities that promote continuity of care, community integration and ensures a recovery facilitating environment. Assists in the overall integration of services between the Hospital, Rehab Center and Community. May participate on a multidisciplinary treatment team and completes all related documentation. Performs Occupational Therapy/Rehab assessments including specialized Occupational Therapy assessments. Utilizes the billing system when appropriate and ensures that billing procedures are followed by all subordinates. Provides supervision to assigned staff at least bi-weekly or more often if indicated. Completes Employee Performance Reviews within established time frames, conducts educational programs and assists in recruitment of staff as needed. May participate on a multidisciplinary treatment team and completes all related documentation. Provides direct service to individuals at the Hospital and the Rehab Center. Functions in the role of Moderator when needed and follows hospital and Rehab policies. Functions as Fieldwork Coordinator for Occupational Therapy Students and volunteers. Functions in the role of Director of Rehabilitation Services when indicated. Demonstrates the importance of diversity. Performs other related duties.

SCHEDULE: MONDAY-FRIDAY 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

DAYS OFF: SATURDAY/SUNDAY

Minimum Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have at least one year of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience as an occupational therapist.

Special Requirements:

Possession of a current and valid Occupational Therapist license issued by the Board of Allied Health Professions in accordance with Chapter 667 of the Acts of 1982.
