Angels Healthcare Patient Service Rep. in Taunton, Massachusetts

Position is located in Taunton, MA. Responsibilities: - Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience - Answer phone calls and schedule appointments - Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or fees - Maintain patient records and update information as needed - Assist with medical record management, including filing and organizing documents - Provide administrative support to healthcare providers and staff - Handle patient inquiries, resolve issues, and escalate as necessary - Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality - Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations Qualifications: - Previous experience as a front desk receptionist or medical receptionist preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with dental or medical office procedures - Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems such as Eaglesoft, eClinicalWorks, or similar software - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Basic understanding of insurance verification and billing processes Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this position.
