WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
The Employee Experience (EX) and Employee Listening Consultant will play a crucial role in shaping and enhancing the employee journey at the American Red Cross by supporting the development, implementation, and management of initiatives that improve employee engagement and overall experience through effective listening and data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and analytical thinker with strong project management and program implementation skills, a passion for creating a positive work environment, and a deep understanding of EX and lifecycle survey (i.e., candidate, onboarding, exit survey design) best practices. This individual will report initially to the Sr. Director, Organizational Effectiveness.

Responsibilities:
Employee Listening and Insights:
Define the objectives and scope of employee listening efforts to understand key employee segments and their needs, and collaborate with HR and business leaders to ensure feedback informs decision-making and contributes to an improved employee experience.
Identify and recommend appropriate listening channels and methods (surveys, focus groups, social listening, etc.) to gather relevant data and establish a structured approach for collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing employee feedback from various touchpoints in the employee lifecycle.
Planning and Consultation:
Conduct thorough assessments of the current employee experience, including gathering feedback through EX and lifecycle surveys, and partner with HR leadership and other stakeholders to understand business needs and identify opportunities to enhance EX through thoughtful planning and consultation.
Develop well-reasoned recommendations and proposed roadmaps for EX initiatives based on assessments and data analysis, aligned with company goals.
Stay informed on the latest trends and best practices in employee experience to inform planning activities.
Initiative Development & Implementation:
Manage the administration and effectiveness of employee surveys (design, distribution, analysis, and reporting) and develop detailed plans, timelines, and budgets for employee experience projects, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budget.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, as a thought partner, to design and implement efforts related to key areas like onboarding, career development, recognition, communication, and well-being.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Define key metrics and develop methods for measuring the impact and effectiveness of employee experience efforts, including collecting, analyzing, and interpreting employee data (e.g., surveys, feedback) to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Prepare regular reports and presentations, using data-driven insights to continuously refine employee experience efforts.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (HR, leadership, managers) and effectively communicate complex information and recommendations, including providing updates on how feedback is used and the resulting changes.
Establish processes for sharing feedback insights with stakeholders and facilitate discussions to develop action plans.
Partner with communications to ensure employees are informed and engaged in EX efforts.
Continuous Improvement:
Educate and train managers and employees on the importance of listening and feedback, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement based on data analysis and best practices.
Champion a culture of employee-centricity and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Skills & Abilities: Ability to work on a team.
Travel: May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout chapter jurisdiction, state and Red Cross system.
- Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).
COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $95,000 - 110,000.
This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role.
Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role.
