Baystate Health is Seeking a Full Time RN, Oncology Practice Nurse

What You Will Do:

The Oncology Practice Nurse will work closely with physician, infusion staff, clinic staff, radiation staff, and other disciplines and/or external resources to coordinate patient care and follow patient throughout the care continuum. Manages telephone calls from patients and families: triages patient calls, assesses the clinical problem, and implements a plan related to patient need. Facilitates referrals to appropriate disciplines or services (internally or externally), including but not limited to home care services and transitions to palliative care or hospice in collaboration with the cancer care team

What You Will Need:

  • Massachusetts license as an RN and CPR certified required
  • BSN strongly preferred or must be enrolled in BSN Program and scheduled to complete within two years
  • ONS or ONC certification preferred or expected to obtain within two years
  • Minimum of -3 years of nursing experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, communication and team work
  • The ability to work independently, proactively and adapt appropriately to changing priorities is a must
  • Must have competency in delivering exceptional nursing care and have proven success in partnering with both physicians and staff
