DYS Direct Care Staff I - R.I.S.E Program
We're looking for Direct Care Staff Worker/Residential Counselors for our Alternative Options DYS Program in Chicopee. We have Part-Time and Relief Positions and multiple shifts.
Duties and Responsibilities
To work as a cooperative team member, provide leadership to fellow direct care staff persons working shift and to be a positive role model for clients.
To assist clients in carrying out daily tasks and responsibilities including cleaning, cooking, maintenance, and laundry. To willingly perform these tasks when clients in a fair and consistent manner.
Complete DYS medication training.
To assume other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Program Director or Assistant Director.
Knowledge of Agency policies, practices, and procedures and to meet all rules and regulations of the Agency.
Attends required mandatory Staff meetings.
Participate in DYS Basic Trainings in Grafton MA.
Previous work in the related fields dealing with youths preferred.
Must possess the ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work as a team member.
Must have a valid Massachusetts. license
Must have a reliable vehicle available to transport clients or provide other supportive services as necessary.
Bilingual (English/Spanish), Bicultural, encouraged to apply.
Must meet Agency requirements for driving history records.
Must have the availability of an automobile to transport clients or perform other supportive services as necessary.
