You Will Be Responsible For:
Contributing to the effective management of the nursing unit. Assumes a leadership role in two units. Assists Nurse Manager in strategic planning process for nursing unit by participation in the identification of short- and long-term goals.
Assisting with the management of clinical operations. Supports and participates in Clinical Program Management activity. Coordinates patient care assignments which reflect patient acuity, developmental age nurse-patient ratio, and individual staff abilities. Assists Nurse Manager in planning budgetary needs of unit related to human resources, environment, equipment and supplies.
Working with Nurse Manager, Director, HUB Coordinator and House Supervisors in ensuring timely patient flow throughout the hospital.
Providing patient care, performs treatments and procedures.
Responsible for direct supervision of employees.
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Licensure: Current Licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Massachusetts.
Certification: CPR certification required.
Basic computer skills required.
Effective communication, organizational and critical thinking skills.
Experience: Prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.
Endoscopy: Requires the ability to practice utilizing SGNA (Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates) recommended standards and guidelines. ACLS required within six (6) months of hire.
