Description:
Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Pulmonary Function Technician to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators in our Springfield, 175 Carew street location. The Pulmonary Function Tech will assist with the overall functioning of the pulmonary department.

You Will Be Responsible For :
Exceptional Patient Care : Performroutine function tests according to protocols established by the ATS including PFTs, DLCO, FRC, (with and without bronchodilators) Methacholine Challenge tests, and oximetry both at rest and with exercise
Strong Educator: Explain and demonstratetesting andinstructs patients in testing procedures to ensure patient’s best effort.
Technical Familiarity: Will provide first level trouble shooting for pulmonary function equipment and perform quality control procedures on pulmonary testing equipment to ensure proper operation and integrity of test results.
Active Teamwork : Assist in department workflows as needed
Requirements:
Education : Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy, Medical Assisting and/or certification as a pulmonary function technologist
Experience :one (1) to two (2) years respiratory therapy experience as an RRT in hospital or physician office, and/or a minimum of 6 months – 2 yrs of experience as a pulmonary function technologist. Proficiency with pulmonary function testing and equipment
Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks
