Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Pulmonary Function Technician to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators in our Springfield, 175 Carew street location. The Pulmonary Function Tech will assist with the overall functioning of the pulmonary department.

You Will Be Responsible For :

• Exceptional Patient Care : Performroutine function tests according to protocols established by the ATS including PFTs, DLCO, FRC, (with and without bronchodilators) Methacholine Challenge tests, and oximetry both at rest and with exercise

• Strong Educator: Explain and demonstratetesting andinstructs patients in testing procedures to ensure patient’s best effort.

• Technical Familiarity: Will provide first level trouble shooting for pulmonary function equipment and perform quality control procedures on pulmonary testing equipment to ensure proper operation and integrity of test results.

• Active Teamwork : Assist in department workflows as needed

Requirements:

• Education : Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy, Medical Assisting and/or certification as a pulmonary function technologist

• Experience :one (1) to two (2) years respiratory therapy experience as an RRT in hospital or physician office, and/or a minimum of 6 months – 2 yrs of experience as a pulmonary function technologist. Proficiency with pulmonary function testing and equipment

• Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks
