Reliant Medical Group is seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and professional Ophthalmic Assistant to join our Eye Services team in Worcester, MA. This is a full-time , Monday-Friday, hours vary 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM position.

The Ophthalmic Assistant performs a variety of duties involving basic vision testing. Assists physician/optometrist in the examination and treatment of patients by performing routine vision tests. Assists the physician/optometrist with routine clinical/diagnostic procedures and other related duties.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPR/BLS certification

  • Complete of JCAHPO, written exam for certification for COA and maintain active status

  • Experience working in sterile field set up and assisting with minor surgical procedures

  • Knowledge of various software applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.

  • General computer skills or knowledge

  • Ability to show proficiency within 9 months through the competency evaluative process

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
