Full Time Position Varying shifts, weekends included (no late nights) Summary: The Caf? Lead plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operations of our caf?. This position requires a passionate and customer-oriented individual with strong leadership and organizational skills. The Caf? Lead will oversee all aspects of cafe operations, including customer service, merchandising, food service coordination, managing caf? payments, and occasional baking. Responsibilities: Oversees day-to-day operations of caf?, including: Ensuring proper staffing levels are maintained Managing inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies Ensuring the caf? is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times Creating an inviting and visually appealing caf? environment Merchandising caf? products effectively; Implementing creative displays and promotions to increase sales; Coordination with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries Managing caf? payments, including processing credit card transactions and handling cash Reconciling daily sales and ensuring accurate financial records Occasionally assisting with baking tasks, such as preparing pastries, breads, or other baked goods. Provide all customers with efficient, professional and responsive service, while communicating with honesty, integrity and respect. Actively engage with customers, building rapport and fostering a loyal customer base. Assists with departmental training. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills required. Proven experience in the food service industry, preferably in a caf? or coffee shop setting. Basic baking experience required. Computer skills required; experience with POS system preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills required. Knowledge of food service sanitation standards and/or food handling and safety certification preferred. CPR Certification preferred. Skills/Competencies: Ability to problem solve. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors and the public.
