CareWell Urgent Care Radiologic Technologist Lead in Somerville, Massachusetts
Emergence Health Holding is a seeking a RT lead. This role will be in conjunction with one’s radiographic technologist role within the organization and work may be performed in anyone of our urgent care locations.
Job Summary: The RT Lead is first line of support to the Practice Managers on issues related to the operation of the Radiologic department. The RT lead will ensure the smooth operation multiple centers and continue to report to their respective Practice Manager for clinical responsibilities and to the Senior Regional Manager, ClearChoiceMD Urgent Care, for RT Lead responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities: RT Lead - tasks include but are not limited to:
Fix errors at the software level, within PACS and Opal Rad.
Spot check images for errors and quality.
Assist techs with troubleshooting any issues they encounter with the machine prior to calling for service
Train new RT’s on CCMD policies and procedures.
Ensure that new RT’s are scheduled with RT trainers for first or second shift.
Review & upload film badge reports quarterly for assigned centers. Address any positive exposures with staff member involved and report to RSO with appropriate reporting form. Upload completed form to Radiology SharePoint for tracking.
Order and track Safeline badges for new technicians and fetal badges as necessary.
Quarterly Lead Checks for assigned centers. Review and address any cracked lead that needs replacement.
Quarterly Repeat Analysis & Review for all techs at assigned centers. Ensure each techs average is within range, address any that are not.
Participate in Quarterly Safety meetings to ensure Radiation Safety is up to par.
Provide communication to assigned centers on the completion of annal lead check.
Review images in Onepacs and Ambra for cracks and as necessary put together a quote for replacements to be approved by management.
Support the RT function within new build centers to include: ordering lead aprons, completing machine registration once the report of assembly occurs, scheduling physicist equipment install, coordinating the addendum to Onepacs contract to include the new center, etc.
Ensure assigned centers remain compliant with state standards for inspections.
Make sure machine registrations at assigned centers are renewed annually and on time.
Upload tech licenses and ARRT cards to the Radiology SharePoint for tracking purposes.

Education & Experience:
6 months or more experience in a CareWell and/or ClearChoiceMD clinic.
2 or more years’ experience in the RT field.
Supervisory Responsibility: The RT lead has no direct supervisory role but will support the Regional Manager in technical and training issues related to the department.
Work Environment: This job operates in a medical office setting and includes possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medical preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
Physical Demands: Requires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This position is in addition to the current role as Radiologic Technologist, hours worked in this position can range an average two to four hours per week.
Travel: Travel to assigned centers will be required as needed to complete assigned tasks.
