$2,000 Sign-On Bonus: $500 at hire, $500 after 3 months, and $1,000 after you complete 6 months of service.

We have a great opportunity to join our outpatient team in Somerville. You will be able to work in a supportive small team atmosphere while also working as part of a larger organization that is a leader within the mental health care industry.

Our ideal candidate will be comfortable working with the people we serve along with a team of therapists.

This position is responsible for completing assessments, triage, and at times short term therapy for all clients enrolling in services within our outpatient center. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new initiative within our outpatient center to increase access to care and services for our communities. This intake triage clinician will be responsible for completing a diagnostic assessment at first meeting, along with orienting new clients to the different services offered in our outpatient clinic. If appropriate they will work with the client on making referrals to other services to meet the full spectrum of client needs assessed. They will work closely with our admin intake coordinator, program director, and team of therapists to ensure a smooth transition from enrollment to ongoing treatment. This candidate should have a clinical skill set in assessment, diagnoses, and experience working with a broad range of clinical presentations and age ranges from young children to elders. Candidate should be comfortable with technology and flexible to learning/developing new systems.

  • Orientation to billing software, clinical documentation, and program specific procedures provided.

  • Position is benefits eligible and offers some flexibility in daytime and evening hours

  • Hours: 40/week with flexibility of 1-2 early evenings.

Required Skills

  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented, flexible, reliable, responsible and friendly

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and computer skills (including Microsoft Office) required

  • Experience completing clinical assessment and diagnoses for a broad range of populations

  • Some experience working with substance use disorders preferred

  • Emergency services/triage experience preferred

Required Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Psychology required

  • Independent licensure strongly preferred; Candidates within 6 months of independent licensure considered

  • Intermediate computer fluency (including Microsoft Office) required

  • Advanced computer fluency preferred
