AnthroMed Education Part-Time Occupational Therapist in Saugus, Massachusetts

K-12th Grade Part-Time Occupational Therapist:

AnthroMed Education is dedicated to those in Special Education who know how exciting and rewarding it is to help children grow and achieve. Our organization is currently hiring an Occupational Therapist in Saugus, MA to support K-12th grade students for the 23-24 school year. This OT will provide in-person therapy to students with IEPs and 504 plans. The Occupational Therapist will spend about 16 hours per week within three different schools located within a radius of each other. This charter school system is flexible with days and times of OT services provided.

Overview:

· Hours: Approximately 16 hours per week

· Flexible on the day and time the OT would like to provide support

· K-12th grade students

· Located in Beverly, Everett, and Saugus MA

Duties of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Develops, implements, and coordinates occupational therapy programs within the member school districts, including philosophy, vision, procedures, and goals.

  • Screens, evaluates, and monitors students with disabilities or cognitive impairments for the purpose of providing educational programs, therapeutic intervention, and transition planning to enhance abilities to perform activities of daily living or participate in desired occupations.

  • Collaborates with staff to ensure team understanding of student occupational performance strengths and needs.

  • Evaluates the student's ability and formulates the student's occupational profile, providing written reports that reflect strengths and barriers to student participation in the educational environment.

  • Participates in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

  • Provides targeted, evidence-based therapeutic intervention to facilitate student participation and occupational performance within the school environment.

  • Documents occupational therapy services and maintains records in accordance with school district policies.

    Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy

  • Valid Massachusetts Occupational Therapy License

  • Experience providing Occupational Therapy in a school setting preferred
