Eliot is seeking Licensed registered nurse to work with adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses. The ideal candidate will have a supervisory background, knowledge of psychiatric medications, psychiatric and medical treatment.
Eliot's Mental Health division provides an integrative and comprehensive network of services to adults with psychiatric disabilities that promote consumer rights, responsibilities, rehabilitation, and recovery. We provide rehabilitative services that enable people to increase functioning in the living, working, and social environments of their choice.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring that consumer medications are prepared and delivered in accordance with agency, DMH and DPH regulations, policies and procedures. Ensure the maintenance and accuracy of all documentation and administration.
Empower consumers to exercise control over their lives, including daily routines within theirhome, their treatment and leisure activities. Includes informing consumers of choices in all areas ofliving to promote individual control.
Assist consumers in being fully integrated in their communities by supporting them in the use ofcommunity resources, encouraging them in establishing memberships within their communities,and reducing stigma within the community through education.
Provide emergency 24 hour on-call back-up assistance to staff on-call for clients when deemed necessary, in rotation.
Oversee the psycho-pharmacological and medical treatment and medication policies/procedures of the Lynn Pact nursing department.
Act as a member of the leadership team.
Hire, supervise and evaluate other nursing staff.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am to 4pm, Rotating on call duties
