Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Detail Oriented Services industry, based in Quincy, Massachusetts. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining our financial records, processing customer credit applications, and responding to customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently handle the submission of Accounts Receivables claims to Insurance companies

• Accurately post Insurance Payments and Adjustments using QuickBooks Desktop

• Ensure timely and thorough follow-up on non-payments or payment adjustments

• Reconcile Bank Statements and Credit Card Accounts regularly

• Oversee the transition to a semi-paperless filing system and manage existing filing system

• Generate and scrutinize Excel spreadsheets with precision

• Undertake special projects as directed by the Senior Accountant

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions to maintain account health. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required

• Proven experience as a Detail Oriented Accountant or similar role within the Services industry

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Quickbooks Online is essential

• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail

• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with various departments

• Proactive in identifying and addressing potential issues

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure

• CPA certification is a plus, but not required.
