Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians Neurosurgeon in Plymouth, Massachusetts

Summary:

The Division of Neurosurgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking a fellowship trained complex spinal surgeon. The ideal candidate for this position would have five or more years of experience after completion of fellowship training. Candidates must be board-certified in neurosurgery. The surgeon will have a primary responsibility of developing community neurosurgical spine care in the BIDMC-affiliated hospital in Plymouth, MA and will work in collaboration with other departments to further develop a multidisciplinary spine program. The preferred candidate will have experience in a broad range of neurosurgery, including complex spine surgery, epilepsy surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, complex pain management, spine trauma and/or minimally invasive spinal surgery. The ideal candidate should also possess exceptional teamwork, program development and mentorship abilities. In addition to clinical expertise, teaching ability as evidenced by awards or evaluations is an important qualification. Research experience and initiative will be also strongly considered. BIDH-Plymouth is an acute care, 164-bed community hospital serving 12 towns in Plmouth and Barnstable counties and is the largest hospital in the southern region of the South Shore.

Requirements:

Must be board certified or board-eligible in neurosurgery

Fellowship trained in complex spinal surgery

Full medical license to practice in Massachusetts

Massachusetts Control Substance registration and Federal DEA registration
