Berkshire Health Systems Operations Manager - Perioperative Services in Pittsfield, Massachusetts
DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
A registered nurse that provides Operations management on a 24-hour basis for the delivery of patient care or other patient care support service. The Operations Manager for Ambulatory Surgery is responsible for the operation of the service in a fiscally responsible manner. Seeks new opportunities for improvement of services to patients/customers including efficiency programs and cost reduction efforts including the evaluation and implementation of processes to improve patient flow. The Operations Manager for Ambulatory Surgery supports the mission of the health system and is directly accountable to the Administrator of Ambulatory Surgery.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
Experience:
3 years OR experience with charge responsibilities.
Operating Room management experience preferred.
Experience working with and managing others in a fair, consistent and respectful manner.
Education and Training:
B.S.N. within 6 months of hire required.
License, Certification & Registration:
RN License - currently licensed as an RN in Massachusetts.
ACLS, knowledge of AORN clinical practices.
CNOR- Certified Nurse Operating Room required within 1 year of hire.
Ambulatory Surgery, Management Certification preferred.
