Berkshire Health Systems LPN Physician Practice in Pittsfield, Massachusetts
DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Licensed Practical Nurse supports the nursing process and functions under the direction of the MD/PA. The Licensed Practical Nurse must adhere to policy and procedure for Berkshire Medical Center and Berkshire Faculty Services clinical services.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
Experience:
Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing
Has a through knowledge of nursing principles and procedures
Experience in handling multiple telephone lines and excellent clerical/organiztional skills required.
Experience in specimen testing and physician office experience preferred.
Education and Training:
Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing
License, Certification & Registration:
Currently licencsed as a practical Nurse in Massachusetts
Must be CPR certified
Other Requirements:
Demonstrates Continuing education in accordance with State regulation.
Data entry skills preferred,Working knowledge of Windows based PC applications required.
Ability to work indepenently and take direction.
Self- motivated and ability to be independent and flexible in a team framework.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
