Berkshire Health Systems CENTRAL TRANSPORT AIDE in Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Responsible for the safe and timely transport of patients to and from the Radiology/Radiation Oncology Department and delivering materials/products to various areas of the hospital. Familiar with transport equipment such as, stretcher, oxygen tanks, and hospital/ICU beds. Full knowledge of hospital ethics and policies as they pertain to the job are required.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
On the job training under the direction of an experienced transport aide or flow coordinator. Proven ability to perform duties and tasks in accordance with established standards.
Education and Training:
High school dipolma and ability to read and write English.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to use communication devices such as telephones, computers, bar coders, pagers, etc.
License, Certification & Registration:
CPR within 3 months of employment
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to perform repetitive duties.
Willingness to complete assignments with a high level of quality and consideration of patients, staff and visitors.
Ability to receive constructive criticism professionally.
