Berkshire Health Systems Access Center Triage RN in Pittsfield, Massachusetts
The Access Center Triage RN triage nurse works to assess patient needs and answer questions over the telephone and via e-communication methods. Through telephone assessment, the Registered Nurse recommends the patient to the appropriate level of care: primary care physician, urgent care, emergency care. Patient’s range from newborn to geriatric. The RN provides clinical guidance to CSR and other operational staff in the Access Center.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
Three years experience in Emergency or Ambulatory Nursing preferred.
Three years Triage (phone or in person) RN experience preferred.
1 year charge nurse experience preferred
Education and Training:
License, Certification & Registration:
RN License - Currently licensed as an RN in Massachusetts
Electronic medical records experience and strong comfort level using computers.
Experience using multiple phone line system.
Evidence of performance as a professional role model and leader
Recognized by peers as an experienced and competent clinician in ambulatory or med/surg nursing practice.
