Berkshire Health Systems Access Center Triage LPN in Pittsfield, Massachusetts
DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Access Center Triage LPN works to assess patient needs and answer questions over the telephone and via e-communication methods. Through telephone assessment, the LPN recommends the patient to the appropriate level of care: primary care physician, urgent care, emergency care. Patient’s range from newborn to geriatric.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
Experience:
Three years experience in Med/Surg or Ambulatory Nursing preferred.
Three years Triage (phone or in person) experience preferred.
Education and Training:
High School Degree.
License, Certification & Registration:
LPN License - Currently licensed as an LPN in Massachusetts.
CPR
Other Requirements:
Electronic medical records experience and strong comfort level using computers.
Experience using multiple phone line system.
