Job Description:
Registered Nurse with Team Lead responsibilities to support a busy Gastroenterology and Colon Rectal practice. Day to day responsibilities include provider support, patient care and phone triage, meeting clinic nursing needs, and leading a team of Medical Assistants. Candidate works closely with providers, Clinic Services Manager and Nursing Manager to ensure day to day practice adheres to all hospital and patient care standards. Additional duties may include assistance with flu clinic, inter divisional support, and contributing to other nursing initiatives at BILH.
The Staff registered Nurse: Ambulatory is held accountable for decisions
specific to assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the plan. The registered nurse facilitates the coordination of care across the continuum and demonstrates safe practice within the domains of:
Clinical judgment and decision making
Professional relationships
Clinical leadership
Clinical scholarship
Licensure, Certification, Registration:
BSN Strongly preferred
Current license to practice professional nursing from the Massachusetts Board of Registration
BLS certification with American Heart Association
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
a. Demonstrates the necessary clinical skills and technical knowledge to provide care for patients
according to Nursing Policy and Procedures.
b. Demonstrates the necessary clinical skills and knowledge to provide care for patients according to the
clinic specific competencies.
c. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of related In Patient or out Patient Nursing Experience strongly preferred
