ORANGE - Dental Assistant About Us: At The Community Health Center of Franklin County (CHCFC,) we are dedicated to providing comprehensive, high-quality care to underserved communities. We are currently seeking two motivated and skilled Dental Assistants to join our dynamic team and contribute to our goal of improving oral health and overall well-being for our patients. We are accepting applications from Licensed Dental Assistants, as well as those interested in beginning a new career by training on-the-job as a Dental Assistant. Position Overview: As a Dental Assistant at CHCFC, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. You will assist with a variety of clinical and administrative tasks, helping to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Support: Prepare patients for dental procedures by taking and recording vital signs, medical history, and providing chairside assistance to the dentist during examinations and treatments. Radiography: Take and develop dental X-rays as required, ensuring safety protocols and accuracy in imaging. Infection Control: Maintain a clean and sterile working environment by following infection control procedures and ensuring that all equipment and instruments are properly sanitized. Patient Interaction: Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, address their questions or concerns, and provide compassionate care throughout their visit. Administrative Tasks: Schedule patient appointments, manage patient records, and assist with billing and insurance documentation as needed. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dental team to ensure smooth operation and efficient patient flow, contributing to a positive work environment. Qualifications: Certification: Dental Assistant license preferred; Radiology certification preferred. Experience: Previous experience in a dental assisting role is desirable but not required; we are open to training motivated candidates. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse patient population. Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in both clinical and administrative tasks.
