Job Title: Manager, Mechanical Engineering Job Code: 21992 Job Location: Northampton, MA 100% on site Schedule: 9/80 Job Description: We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer Manager to manage and direct the day-to-day activities of the Mechanical Design and Engineering Group. The selected candidate will provide technical direction and oversight to individuals within the group and to program teams. As well as estimate labor, capacity and other resources as required to deliver mechanical design engineering work products while adhering to budget and schedule commitments. This person will lead the site\'s mechanical design and engineering team with responsibilities for the mechanical design and analysis of ruggedized surface and submarine electro-optical imaging systems. This person will also provide input and recommendations for Internal Research And Development (IRAD) projects and support business growth by researching and responding to customer solicitations. Qualifications: Bachelor\'s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. Experience leading technical design teams. Experience in the design of marine pressure vessels with consideration for static and dynamic sealing, structural integrity and material selection for corrosive environments. Experience in precision, ruggedized mounting of optical elements Extensive CREO 3D model design experience, FEA structural analysis experience.
