Job Description:

Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health

Location: Serving Northampton and Surrounding Areas

Key Responsibilities of the Behavioral Health RN

As a Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health, you’ll oversee and provide essential care to patients, guiding them and their families through every step of their journey.

  • Patient Assessment & Care Planning : Conduct initial evaluations and ongoing assessments of physical, psychosocial, and environmental needs; incorporate these into individualized care plans.

  • Treatment Coordination : Develop and adjust care plans as needed, collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.

  • Patient & Family Education : Instruct patients, families, and care facility staff on behavioral health philosophies, symptom management, and safe care practices.

  • Leadership & Supervision : Supervise behavioral health aides and LPNs, ensuring quality care and policy compliance.

  • Safety & Compliance : Monitor and communicate any significant health or environmental changes to the Clinical Supervisor, physician, and care team; update the care plan accordingly.

  • End-of-Life Care & Bereavement Support : Provide compassionate support at the end of life, including bereavement assessment and appropriate resources for families.


What You Bring

  • RN Licensure : Current, unrestricted RN license in the state.

  • Clinical Experience : Minimum of 1 year in a clinical setting; experience in behavioral health, home health, or hospice is preferred.

  • Flexibility & Mobility : Willingness to travel within the service area (up to 50%); reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance required.

  • Education : Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

  • Tech Savvy : Familiarity with Homecare HomeBase is a plus.
