Have a passion for working with children? Join UCP\'s Early Intervention department as a Physical Therapist to help provide your services to the Northern BerkshireEarly Intervention Program. In this position you will provide diagnostic assessments and treatment for children, birth to three years of age; as well as related supportand services to their families. PHYSICAL THERAPIST RESPONSIBILITIES: - Conduct gross motor/physical therapy evaluations and treatments, including telehealth services, and maintain accurate records of case progress andadministrative information. - Participate in team evaluations, IFSP development and implementation, and planning and implementation of gross motor playgroups and transitions forchildren. - Provide therapy in various environments (home, day care) and instruct parents on developmental activities, supporting their utilization of communityresources. - Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring proper implementation of care plans, and collaborate with pediatricians, specialists, and community providers. - Achieve a minimum of 70% productivity through assessments, individual treatments, group services, and community outreach. - Participate in and contribute to parent information nights, workshops, health fairs, professional development workshops, and share knowledge with colleagues. - Develop and maintain professional communication and cooperative relationships with UCP personnel, parents/guardians, school personnel, and other humanservice organizations. - Represent the agency positively within the community and assist with UCP activities as requested, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to safetyregulations. - Perform additional job duties as assigned, including maintaining a safe work area, upholding CPR and First Aid certification, and complying with state andfederal regulations. - Incorporate sensitivity to cultural, religious, racial, disability, and gender issues into daily practices, ensuring healthy boundaries with clients, and respondingto the specific needs of families in the area. - Instruct parents in implementation of developmental activities at their level of understanding, emphasizing the understanding of principles behind activityselection, provide support and guidance for families to assist with utilization of community resources available to them PHYSICAL THERAPIST QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate degree from accredited program recognized by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Health Professionals - Licensed Physical Therapist in good standing with the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Health Professionals - Certification as an Early Intervention Specialist by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH), or eligible to be certified within two years ofemployment in a MDPH certified Early Intervention Program - Attendance at two-day orientation training offered by the Department of Public Health?s Training Center vendor within the first year of employment. - Experience working with pediatric patients - Familiar with specialized treatment approaches, (i.e., orthopedic management braces, orthotics and prosthetics, neuromuscular treatment, pulmonary hygiene,adaptive equipment) - Knowledge of community-based health systems and resources - Experience with electronic documentation. - Valid driver?s license, availability of private vehicle, up-to-date car insurance - Ability to work flexible hours to respond to program scheduling needs. - Basic Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook skills. - Comfortable with remote application such as Zoom for telehealth, team or other meetings - Satisfactory CORI, SORI, DPPC and National Fingerprint Background Check For more information or to apply click here!{target="blank" rel="noreferrer"}
