This seasonal, part-time College Finance Associate will guide our various clients through the college funding process, helping families understand college costs, financing options, and available resources in an ethical way.
This is a Remote position available in the United States.
Responsibilities:
Counsel clients in individual phone meetings spanning a wide spectrum of college funding items including: applying for all forms of federal, state, private, and institutional aid; maximizing merit scholarship opportunities; coordinating assets and resources to pay for college, including maximizing education tax breaks; understanding the impact of college inter-departmental politics; student loan repayment options; and managing educational debt.
Conduct individual counseling sessions on paying for college or repaying student loans by phone.
Manage your time to productively complete your weekly goals.
Work autonomously, with guidance from management on complex situations.
Track all work in the online client portal.
Weekly commitment may range from 10-30 hours, depending on internal needs, from June through December.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
Experience managing Student Financial Aid (SFA) and institutional aid programs. Experience at multiple colleges or universities is preferred.
Intimate understanding of the FSA regulations, institutional methodology and awarding practices at private colleges, and student loan repayment options.
Extensive contact with students and parents. Excellent listening skills and ability to develop a trusted rapport.
Flexibility and adaptability to new technology.
Ability to self-motivate and work independently to meet all deadlines, administrative, and client responsibilities.
Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between $25.00 – 30.00 per hour. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.

Also, new employees in this role receive 1 hour of sick time per 30 hours worked if hired in Washington state, and sick leave as specified by local law if hired in other locations.
