VCA Animal Hospitals Credentialed Veterinary Technician in Newton Highlands, Massachusetts

VCA Rotherwood Animal Hospital has been fortunate to work with pets and their people in the Newton community, for more than 45 years. We are a four doctor, small animal practice that believes in the importance of dedicated client and patient care. We have a strong focus on preventative medicine, and strive to collaborate with pet parents to improve medical outcomes for our patients.

  • Provide high-end client service, including compassionate and educational conversations for each unique interaction

  • Flexible scheduling, with some evenings and weekend hours

  • CVT or CVT Eligible

Typical tasks include:

  • Client communication and education

  • Efficient and accurate use of electronic medical records and practice management software

  • Supporting the DVM team with patient appointments, taking accurate histories, providing treatments, and assisting with procedures

  • Safe patient restraint, phlebotomy skills, hands-free radiology

  • Surgery preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and patient post-op care

  • Commitment to training and development of new team members

Wage range $20-$27 per hour

Actual wage dependent on skills and experience
