Job Description:

OFFICE COORDINATOR- 20 hours/wk, Mon-Fri

Reporting to the Director of Case Management, the Office Coordinator is an active member of the Case Management team providing administrative support to the Case Management department. This position spends time on clinical units and directly interacts with patients and their families. Greets patients and families in a professional courteous manner at all times. Updates patient information including demographics, insurance updates and making necessary changes.

Accurately records entering post-acute referrals, documents payer authorizations, verifies the presence of health care proxies, researches equipment vendors for post-acute care, and provides documentation to the patients and families under the direction of the case managers. Tracks and facilitates payments to contracted vendors, orders and coordinates needed office supplies, and supports scheduling department related meetings.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • A minimum of one year similar experience in a medical administrative role preferred
