Job Description:

Nurse Manager, 40 hrs/wk

The Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department works closely with the Director to provide supervision, support, and training to the team in our 20 bed ED. In this role, you will:

• Assist with interviewing and selecting candidates who have appropriate clinical skills and professional characteristics that match department needs

• Communicate with staff on an ongoing basis regarding performance expectations and ensure staff are competent to perform their roles.

• Assist with the planning and conducting of formal performance reviews that are timely and objective

• Interact with staff in a consistent, fair, timely, appropriate and decisive manner in accordance with hospital and nursing policies

• Promote development of staff through role modeling, coaching and mentoring of clinical skills, leadership skills, decision making, goal setting and academic/certification progression

Qualifications:

• Bachelors of Science in Nursing from an accredited program

• MA RN license

• 2-4 years of previous nursing leadership preferred
