Job Description:

Anna Jaques Hospital is seeking an experienced leader for our Emergency Department. Our 20 bed ED is a designated primary stroke service located in the seaside town of Newburyport, MA. The Director of the Emergency Department will assume 24-hour responsibility for our rapidly growing department that currently treats over 30,000 patients annually.

In this role, you will:

• Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer.

• Plan, organize, and control the operation of the department with the support of the department nurse manager.

• Provide support and guidance to RNs, Patient Care Techs, Unit Coordinators, etc.

• Develop budgets that demonstrate industry benchmark standards in productivity and performance.

• Conduct staff performance appraisals and identify goals and objectives to ensure professional growth and development of team members.

• Identify opportunities for improvement in patient satisfaction, staff development, and fiscal management.

Minimum qualifications:

• Education: MSN or BSN enrolled in MSN program.

• MA RN License.

• Minimum of 5 years progressive leadership experience.

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required. CEN preferred.
